At McLemore College & Career Solutions, we help Middle School and High School students gain clarity, confidence, and direction. From exploring careers to choosing a major to navigating the college application process, students never have to do it alone. We turn “I’m overwhelmed” into “I’ve got a plan.”
I’m DeAnne McLemore 'aka' Ms. Mac, and alongside a team of industry experts, I guide 8th–12th graders through our Insider’s Playbook — a roadmap for moving from the classroom into a meaningful career. Students receive personalized support that may include career and personality assessments, admissions strategy, essay and application coaching, financial aid and scholarship guidance, interview prep, resume writing, and ready‑to‑use tools that make the process manageable.

Hi, I'm DeAnne 'aka' Ms. Mac!
30+ Years K-12 & Adult Educator * College & Career Advisor * Admissions Representative * Instructional Coach
Working with students from 8th through 12th grade is a developmental journey that transforms raw interests into a concrete professional roadmap. For younger students in middle school, the focus is on self-discovery and exposure, utilizing personality assessments to align their natural strengths with emerging high-growth industries like the healthcare or skilled trades. As students transition into high school, the work shifts toward strategic academic alignment: selecting the right pathways, choosing majors that offer high return on investment, and navigating the increasingly complex college application landscape. By the time they reach their senior year, we move from exploration to execution, meticulously managing application timelines, mastering "limited entry" requirements for competitive programs, and crafting a narrative that ensures they aren't just applying to school, but are launching toward a sustainable, high-impact career.
My entire career has focused on helping students and adults rise to the next chapter in their educational journey. With K-12 foundation, I have demonstrated unparalleled "boots on the ground" experience. As a Career Technical Education Coordinator for the Los Angeles County Office of Education, I supervised career preparation programs across 23 school districts, serving 32,000+ students on pathway options to college and careers. As a College & Career Advisor in a large, urban and diverse high school of enrollment over 3,000, I had the pleasure of supporting middle and high school students on the college application process and how to align their education with high-demand labor markets. Serving as an Academic Coach I guided teachers through their leadership students for earning a master's degree and principal certification. My role as a Recruitment Coordinator for substitute teachers, I demonstrated that I have the leadership and administrative maturity to manage programs, not just individual students. As a Nursing Admissions Representative, I understand the academic rigor required to complete and graduate from this highly competitive niche.
"I’ve seen the educational landscape shift—but the recipe for student success remains the same: it takes a blend of early vision, insider strategy, and relentless advocacy. I don’t just offer advice; I provide a roadmap designed to bypass the 'gatekeepers' and put your student in the driver's seat of their own future. Our mission is to turn your student’s potential into a professional reality. Let’s stop guessing about the future and start building it together."
